Scope

This visit is to the Signalling Equipment Restoration Team at LT Museums' Depot. The Team of volunteers are working to restore some of the more traditional items of LT signalling equipment.

The main items currently being worked on are a ‘B’ style power frame, an ‘N’ style power frame and an ‘N’ style push/pull power frame. Other items are a ‘V’ style interlocking frame now operating under EP push button control, two internally illuminated train describer signs, plus some ancillary items.

The tour leader will describe the work that has be going on to restore the equipment and there will be the opportunity to operate some of the frames.

The visit will commence at 13:00 at the LT Museum and is expected to last about 2 hours.

Photography for personal use will be permitted.

Joining Instructions

Current COVID rules at the Museum may require you to wear a mask so please bring one.

The team are all volunteers and would appreciate any donation you may wish to make. The monies will be used solely to support continued restoration of the signalling artefacts.
